In one play session, I’m honing my skills with my main man Zangief. In another, I’m walking a fully customized avatar through a bustling city, its streets lined with AI-controlled strangers I can challenge to battle at my leisure. In a third, that same avatar is dropped into a massive room filled with arcade cabinets and other players looking for a fight. Street Fighter 6 learns an immediate lesson from the content-bare release of its predecessor, as it offers a variety of significant features and modes right out of the gate. It is a robust fighting game that is of premiere quality. Street Fighter 6 is incredible; a return to form for the franchise that welcomes both new fighters and seasoned pros.
SF6 splits its content into three hubs: Fighting Ground, which most closely emulates the classic SF experience; Battle Hub, where players can congregate to challenge each other and compete in tournaments; and World Tour, which is a sprawling, globe-trotting story…
Outer Wilds was a self-contained narrative puzzle of a game, but it looks like the creators still have more story to tell. A Steam listing has appeared for DLC called “Echoes of the Eye,” and publisher Annapurna dropped a coy hint that it’s not a mistake.
Twitter user Simon Carless flagged the Steam DB listing, and shortly after Annapurna Interactive retweeted it Come from Sports betting site VPbet . The publisher probably wouldn’t signal-boost a false rumor without identifying it as false, so that suggests there’s something to this leak.
It’s only a Steam DB listing, though, so it’s unknown if this will come to other platforms where The Outer Wilds has appeared. Those include Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, the latter two of which are also playable on their new-gen counterparts, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Hearthstone is celebrating its 10-year anniversary today, March 11, 2024. Below, we look back at how it helped pave the way for the common adoption of loot boxes, and maintained them as the industry came under heavy legal scrutiny.
When Hearthstone was announced in 2014, its approach to virtualizing the CCG experience seemed fair, even user-friendly. Just like a real-life paper CCG, you could pay for randomized card packs, have fun ripping them open and discovering your new finds, and then they’d be nicely organized into a collection. You could even trash duplicates for “arcane dust,” a resource that lets you craft new cards. It wasn’t a great exchange rate, but it felt fair enough as an alternative to opening a full-fledged trading marketplace–which Blizzard had good reason to avoid. What Blizzard couldn’t have predicted was how its CCG-inspired monetization strategy would soon help to define an industry trend–a trend that the public eventually …
Destiny 2’s weapon crafting can help create some amazing tools of destruction, but the process of doing so is one that developer Bungie wants to overhaul so that it can be more fun. In the studio’s latest blog update, Bungie explained some of the changes that will be applied to weapon crafting in the Lightfall expansion.
Deepsight weapons, which require you to kill several thousand enemies before they’re fully useful, are being fine-tuned for next year. Uncraftable weapons won’t drop with Deepsight resonance from Lightfall and Bungie is looking at “alternate ways” for players to get crafting materials. The core idea is that players will to want to try new weapons for other reasons, not just to earn crafting currencies.

Valve has announced Steam Families, a new Steam feature that wraps up the pre-existing Steam Family Sharing and Steam Family View, as well as some brand-new family features. The new feature allows Steam users to create a family of up to six household members in order to share games and implement content controls.
Users can create a family and invite up to five other members, who can be assigned as either an adult or a child. All users in the family will have their games shared in a family library, which works similarly to Steam’s old Family Sharing feature.
Anyone in the family will be able to play any game in the library provided someone else isn’t playing it already. If two people want to play the same game at the same time, then two members of the family have to own a copy of the game. When playing shared games, each member will have their own save games, unlock Steam achievements for their own account, and have access to workshop files.

The second act of Destiny 2’s first new episode, Echoes, adds two new guns to the list of weapons you can acquire from the episode’s activities. Like other episode weapons, you can eventually earn the ability to buy those two guns from Failsafe, the Echoes vendor. However, the ability to “focus” Echoes engrams into Aberrant Action or Corrasion isn’t immediately available with the launch of the episode. Instead, you have to earn it as a vendor upgrade by completing Failsafe’s tasks.
The ability to unlock focusing for Aberrant Action and Corrasion are now available as of Week 9, with the lengthy Specimen ID: NES005 mission coming into the game. It’ll eventually give you the vendor upgrade for Failsafe you need to earn these new guns, but there are a few long, grindy steps involved.
Both guns are pretty notable: Aberrant Action is a rocket-assisted sidearm and just the third of that type of gun in the game, while Corrasion is a heavy p…

Bethesda will talk more about its upcoming Indiana Jones game next year. Executive producer Todd Howard wants to say more about it right now, but he’s not allowed to.
In an interview with Esquire, Howard briefly touched upon Machine Game’s upcoming Indiana Jones project. “I am a giant Indiana Jones fan. It can be brought to video games in a unique way,” Howard explains. “The game is obviously: you’re exploring stuff. It’s about him. So if you’re playing the game, how do you feel that you are indeed playing versus just watching?”
At the end of the interview, he followed up with, “We’ll talk next year.”
The interview also mentions that Howard’s favorite Indian Jones adventure is Raiders of the Lost Ark. He pitched an Indiana Jones game to Lucasfilm in 2009, but it didn’t work out back then. Now, Disney has his back and Howard stated that it will be a “mash-up” of different genres. While he is the executive producer on the game, Howard isn’t involved on a daily …
